Xiaomi presented the latest version of its Android-based operating system MIUI 7. At a special event in New Delhi, India, Xiaomi showed the new features of the operating system, including a large number of possibilities for consumer topics, plus the ability to reduce the use of mobile data up to 50% thanks to a partnership with Opera, and their new Max technology.

MIUI 7 offers four new UI themes, each affecting how graphics appear as icons and menus. Users can then choose to customize them color correction. With instrument MUSE user can design new themes from scratch, even if it does not know how to write code. If this is not enough for the more discerning Xiaomi gives his shop for threads, which has over 15 000 options to choose from.

The other big change is the integration of Opera Max, a technology that can compress data using mobile browsers and many other applications with up to 50 percent. The function is located in the Data Saver settings in MIUI 7 and it is particularly effective in optimizing streaming video and audio.

Other small additions to MIUI 7 include:

– New XXL font option for those who really have a problem with visibility of text in various applications.

– Function Baby Album, which automatically collects pictures of babies in one place.

– Function Showtime, which allows users to implement the five-second videos to contacts so that they can be played while receiving calls.

Xiaomi says MIUI 7 beta for developers will start on August 24 and will be available for Redmi 1S, Redmi 2, Mi 4, Mi 4i, Mi 3, Redmi Note 3G and Redmi Note 4G.
