zuk-z1

Lenovo is trying to compete with companies such as Xiaomi, Smartisan and Meizu, partial funding and advising startups Chinese technology companies. One of them is ZUK.

ZUK recently presented its new flagship, ZUK Z1. This is the first smartphone that uses the USB-C 3.0 protocol, which means that can read with speeds of 500 MB/s, ten times faster than USB 2.0. Of course, the connector is symmetrical.

ZUK Z1 has an impressive 4100 mAh battery that loads quickly by default (5.3V / 2.5A). Even more interesting is that after charging the smartphone is powered by a separate circuit which does not include the battery, which helps the battery to have long life.

ZUK Z1 has a 5.5-inch 1080p IPS display, Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 chip, 3 GB RAM, 13 megapixel camera with a maximum aperture of f/2.2, dual LED flash, 8 megapixel front camera with 1.4-micrometer pixels and dual nano SIM slot. We do not know when we can expect the device outside China, nor what will be its price, but do expect to in a range of $350 usd.
