Competition in action cameras becomes more serious. GoPro continues to be a leader, but companies like TomTom, Xiaomi and Sony are doing everything possible to bite a part of this market share. The newest contender is Graava.

The compact camera does not shine with a large sensor and 4K video. The device captures video up to 1080p at 30 frames per second (or 720p with 60 frames per second) and made 8 megapixel pictures and can combine static footage in 4K time-laps clips. The battery lasts only three hours, but the unique selling proposition is the automatic installation.

The camera software selects the best footage and assembles them without any user interaction. The device uses a combination of artificial intelligence, motion sensor, GPS data and even heart rate monitors to gauge the moments that worth. The software could even be assembled from several frames Graava cameras synchronize them in real time.

Sales began in 2016. Advance order is $249 usd, the price at the premiere will be $399 usd.
