From Asus certainly surprised his fans but also fans of Android smartphones as the company presented four models at a special event in New Delhi, India. The devices are part of a series Zenfone and soon they will be on the Indian market. At the moment we don’t know when (and whether) we can expect global distribution. This, of course, does not prevent us to enjoy the new smartphones.

Asus Zenfone 2 Deluxe is the first new model presented personally by the company chairman Johnny Shih. The specifications are identical with Zenfone 2, which was presented at the beginning of the year. The display is 5.5 inches, the resolution is Full HD 1920×1080 pixels and is protected by Gorilla Glass 3 glass. The processor is the Atom Z3560 (1.8GHz) or Atom Z3580 (2.3GHz) with four cores and 4GB RAM, but only in the models with the more powerful chip. The internal memory is 64 or 128GB and is available microSD card slot. The model is running Android 5.0, modified with Asus Zen UI, the main camera is 13MP, and the front – 5MP. The battery have capacity of 3000 mAh, which is charged from zero to 60% in less than 40 minutes.

Differences with the standard version of Zenfone 2 are easily noticeable as Deluxe looked different. The most distinctive feature is interesting tailgate with polyhedral design that gives not only a unique vision of the device, but also reduces accidental release. Deluxe version is available in three colors – purple, pink and white. Each one of them has the effect of chameleon, which means that a change of angle, color is seen in a different shade. Zenfone 2 Deluxe have price of about $400 usd, and for the version with a faster processor will certainly have to pay a large sum.

As you may have guessed from the name of Zenfone 2 Laser, this model has a laser autofocus 13 MP camera. Thanks to this technology can focus for only 0.3 seconds. It is normal not to find it too impressive because a year ago we saw the first smartphones with laser autofocus. What will impress you is that smartphone of Asus is actually located in the middle price range.

Asus Zenfone 2 Laser will be available in the market in three versions. The cheapest is equipped with a 5.5-inch display, Snapdragon 410 processor and 2GB RAM. The average option comes with a 5.5-inch screen, Snapdragon 615 processor and 3GB RAM. The most expensive Zenfone 2 Laser comes with a larger display than the average option. Other parameters are identical between the three versions and include a display resolution of 1280×720 pixels with Gorilla Glass 4 protection, 16GB of internal memory (available and microSD card slot), operating system Android 5.0 with Zen UI, 13MP main camera and 5MP front. The battery is 3000 mAh. Prices of Zenfone Laser 2 starts from $160 usd to $220 usd and reach up to $280 usd.

In New Delhi was officially announced and Zenfone 2 Selfie, which Asus first introduced in June. The distinguishing feature is the presence of a 13 MP sensor, which transmits light, dual LED flash and auto focus laser on the front panel of the phone. This, of course, means better selfie photos that you can capture more friends – the lens has a 88-degree viewing angle that reaches 140 degrees on a special Selfie Panorama mode. The main camera overlaps with the front, and is making very decent macro pictures and can focus up to 6 cm away from the object.

Under impressive Selfi camera is 5.5-inch FHD display, and the rest of the hardware is Snapdragon 615 processor, 16GB / 2GB RAM and 32GB / 3GM RAM. The price of the model with less RAM is about $250 dollars.

The last model presented is called Zenfone 2 Max, which has a very strong argument in its favor – battery with a capacity of 5000 mAh. Interestingly, you can use it to charge other devices, and the large battery has not hurt the elegant profile of the smartphone – 5.2 mm at its thinnest point.

The display of the Zenfone 2 Max is 5.5 inches, but at the moment we have no information about its resolution. Snapdragon 410 processor, and to it we have to add 2GB RAM, 13MP primary camera with a maximum aperture of f/2.0 and a laser autofocus. Currently lacking even a guide price for this model since it will reach the market at the end of October.
