Recently, Google announced that Gmail’s Artificial Intelligence is doing better and better with the elimination of spam. According to the latest data of the company less than 0.1% of emails reaching inboxes of users are spam. Mistaken spam emails  are below then 0.05%.

In the Google blog Sri Harsha Somanchi (product manager gmail team) said that Google now uses “For starters, the spam filter now uses an artificial neural network to detect and block the especially sneaky spam—the kind that could actually pass for wanted mail”

Google hopes percentages of missed spam to continue to decline every year since AI learns from user behavior. Facebook, Twitter and other large technology companies are also working towards more active participation of artificial intelligence systems to content filtering.
