DJI present his new drone based on his developer platform Matrice 100 – the first available quadcopter who can recognize and avoid obstacles. Navigation system developed jointly with Intel, relying on cameras and ultrasonic sensors that work together to identify the objects. Thanks to the navigation system Matrice 100 can recognize objects and buildings 20 meters away from him. The user has control over the distance at which the drones can be close to objects.

Navigation system similar to the one created by the DJI, is needed for the wider use of unmanned aircraft in various industries. The ability to avoid obstacles will make drones much safer and easier to use in areas like supply of small packets, capture TV footage, streaming events and even handing out parking ticket. Matrice 100 is used for the identification of improperly parked cars in Shanghai.
