Already in the fourth quarter of last year Mediatek presented the new 64-bit processors for smartphones. Quad-core MT6732 and eight-core MT6752 already found their place in the new smartphones from low and middle class. The most exciting representative of the new series, however – MT6795 – have yet to be integrated into the new generation of smartphones.

MT6795 processor is touted as the most serious competitor of the Snapdragon 810. The chip has four Cortex-A57 cores and four Cortex-A53 cores, speeds of 2.2 GHz and uses video processor IMG G6200 with operating speed of 700 megahertz. The powerful chip supports 2K and 4K video at 30 frames per second and cameras with resolution up to 20 megapixels .

Besides being a 64-bit architecture, eight-core MT6795 has built several technologies MediaTek, including Mediatek CorePilot (energy efficiency), Medatek ClearMotion (to ensure smooth video) and Mediatek MiraVison (for DTV picture quality). The new chip is available to phone manufacturers in the first quarter of 2015.
