Drones of DJI actually dominate in the consumer segment in the last few years. One of the most interesting competitors to Phantom, which we have seen for some time, is Solo of 3D Robotics.

Unlike the models of DJI, Solo has no built-in camera and using GoPro. The company says that 90% of consumers already own most popular action camera, which allows to minimize the cost. The two companies work together, allowing the Solo to manage the camera through its own remote control that works in conjunction with a smartphone or tablet. As drones and remote they use Linux operation systems and have a 1GHz processors. The transmission can be changed by users, the same is true for other accessories such as ballistic parachute, or infrared sensor modules for flying indoors. The most interesting is the possibility of drawing a virtual cables: the user indicates two points at which the drones navigate automatic and can even track moving objects.
