After updating to iOS 8.3, Touch ID does not work properly in App Store?
If you own an iOS device and you get the latest iOS 8.3, you should have noticed that the Touch ID does not work properly in the App Store. This is reflected in the inability to install free or paid apps, by your fingerprint. Now you just get prompted for a password.
Oddly enough, there are even prompted to enter the password every time or every 15 minutes. This may not exactly a problem, but the use of Touch ID makes things faster and easier.
Outside the App Store, Touch ID is working properly. Use application 1Password for example, where it is required for each entry, also works well. So strange problem remains solely the App Store.
Not crystal clear what causes this bug in them own online store of Apple, but looking ChangeLog of iOS 8.3 update see line that says “Family Sharing”, which says – “Increased reliability for Ask to Buy notifications”. Not confirmed whether this leads to a problem with Touch ID, but hopefully this bug to be fixed soon.
Update: On our iOS devices function using the Touch ID in the App Store now works normally.
